One who is wise is cautious and turns away from evil,

but a fool is reckless and careless.

Proverbs 14:16 ESV

Cautious or Careless?

We make decisions constantly throughout our days.  Each and every day.  There are countless decisions that we make: what to wear, what brand of toothpaste to get, what gas station to go to, who we associate (or don’t associate) with, organic or not, what we watch, what we listen to, the tone we use, what exercises to do, what doctor to go with, on and on and on.  It’s ridiculous how many things we have to think about and make a decision about.

However, our decision making process can make or break whether we are wise or foolish.  A wise person will think about it, making sure to give each decision the proper amount of consideration.  Some things require a lot of time, and others barely any at all.  But in each decision, the right amount of time is given.  A fool will rush into every decision, without giving the right amount of time for the decision making process.

Also important is that a wise person will turn away from evil.  A foolish person rushes in without thinking about whether the decision is good or bad.

Which are you?  Do you tend to make rash decisions?  Or do you think through them, giving each decision the right amount of time.  Do your decisions turn away from evil or run to it?

WORDS OF WISDOM JOURNAL
If you want to take it further, you can do a Words of Wisdom journal.  Simply make categories (you can add a category whenever you want) and put the Bible verses into the appropriate categories.  For instance, one category might be "Money."  Every time a verse has to do with money, you write it under the category.  As time goes on, you will have a journal of wisdom from the Bible organized in an easy to find way.

Your donation helps me continue to provide Biblically sound devotions and articles, to write books and materials on the body of Christ and how we are to be the body of Christ, and to advocate for the persecuted Church. As a homeschool mom, military spouse, and Bible teacher, your donations are paramount to the continuation of these things.

Thank you so much for any donation you are willing to make!  God Bless!
